I thought genderswapping/flipping was when character themselves are being played as having a different-than-originally-written-gender (as in the awesome genderswapped Avengers pics making their way around tumblr), not when the characters are played by a different-than-originally-written gender. (Most willing cosplayers seem to be female, so this happens a lot more often than you’d think, especially with female cosplayers who don’t want to be Slave Leia.) Am I wrong? I think some people are confusing genderswapping the character with people crossdressing to portray the character. If it was a genderswapped version I would’ve worn a bra instead of a binding vest.
